Regan is a practicing artist whose works are motivated by narratives of the land, people and culture. With a dedicated commitment to her art practice, Regan has developed a colourfully expressive style of painting. Since attaining a Masters in Māori Visual Arts from Massey University (2011), Regan has had an expansive career in the arts, exhibiting extensively (in group and solo shows) throughout New Zealand as well as internationally (including Italy, America, Australia & Tahiti). Regan's recent works continue to explore and push the parameters of paint in different mediums, including commissions, collaborations, digital work, large scale works and live performance painting.
Regan currently is a speed paint artist working in various collaborations with other artists. One such collaboration is with Taonga Puoro exponent Horomona Horo in a creative duo (with invited artists) called TaaOro, where live painting intertwines with the sounds of taonga puoro, musical composition and voice. The TaaOro performance has featured in places such as- Toronto (Canada); Florida & Hawaii (USA) and Aotearoa NZ.
